Are you passionate about Oracle? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our IT function. As a Senior Manager, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Senior Manager of Information Technology is responsible for leading Oracle and custom development teams to support various business functions within the organization. This role involves evaluating business needs, determining if Oracle modules can address those needs, and implementing Oracle solutions. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

ERP Roadmap Management: Develop and manage the roadmap for ERP systems at S&C. Ensure ERP system planning and improvements are logically aligned with business plans and priorities.  Oracle Solutions Management: Evaluate business requirements and determine if Oracle modules can address specific needs. Oversee the implementation and integration of Oracle solutions to ensure business needs are satisfied. Collaborate with Oracle support teams and internal technical teams to resolve issues and implement new features/updates. Custom Development: Lead custom development teams to create tailored IT solutions when Oracle modules cannot fully meet business needs. Ensure that custom solutions are integrated seamlessly with existing systems and processes. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for custom development initiatives. Cross-functional Support: Work with various business functions to understand their IT requirements and challenges. Develop IT strategies that align with business goals and improve operational efficiency. Provide technical guidance and support to business units on the use of Oracle and custom IT solutions. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Oracle and other vendors/external consultants as appropriate. Hold third parties accountable to their contractual commitments and expected performance. Negotiate with vendors for new solutions or enhancements as required. Compliance and Security: Collaborate closely with the IT Risk Management team to ensure that all ERP solutions comply with industry regulations and company information security policies. Implement security and system roles to protect data and maintain the integrity of IT systems. Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget for Oracle and custom development projects. Monitor spending to ensure projects stay within budget and deliver expected ROI. Leadership & People Management: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team. Leader appropriate and professional workplace behaviors, address/mediate conflicts to restore harmony, and support a positive, healthy, and inclusive workplace culture by S&C’s mission, vision, values, and guiding principles. Manage administrative team member processes, including but not limited to recruitment, induction, vacation management, performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and workforce/succession planning. Proactively establish, monitor, and hold team members accountable to clear responsibilities and accountabilities; provide ongoing performance feedback, both positive and developmental; address performance gaps promptly; recognize and reward achievements; and initiate decisions for corrective actions and terminations where required. Foster a culture that supports the growth and development of team members and proactively train, mentor, and coach team members. Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

 

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Solutions Design, Business, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in an IT Leadership role. 5+ years experience in Oracle with excellent, broad-based knowledge of Oracle ERP product offerings and their capabilities, including Oracle Cloud. Excellent ability to analyze business needs and recommend system solutions to fulfill those needs, including determining when a custom solution is required to solve a problem. Great leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, motivate, and delegate to deliver results, build teams and capabilities, embrace change, drive decisions and outcomes, embrace culture and inclusion, and exhibit integrity Excellent  organizational, planning, and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources, creative problem-solving when obstacles arise, and juggling a heavy volume of diverse projects, including both strategic and tactical assignments Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to support staff, and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from executives, managers, and team members Excellent business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues, and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement Sound financial acumen and numerical ability to manage budgetary resources to maximum effectiveness Skilled at navigating through ambiguity and leading teams and organizations through change Ability to travel as required

 

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA)
