WHO YOU ARE:
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a proven and experienced technical leader to serve as one of the Missile Defense Solutions (MDS) Integrated Engineering Senior Managers, who will lead a multi-disciplined engineering team of ~150+ engineers across the MDS portfolio of programs, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This person typically has a Bachelors degree in a related discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline with 20+ years of professional experience; 18 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree, or equivalent experience/combined education.

THE WORK:
This role is viewed as the most senior authority in discipline
-You will partner with Chief Engineers and the Integrated Engineering Senior Managers to ensure that technical integrity is maintained, the right engineering rigor and discipline is applied on programs including effective, efficient, and continuous improvement of engineering process, tools, and metrics to manage the engineering content of programs.
-You will be responsible for staffing across the C2BMC portfolio, engaging with Program Management, Agile Release Train Leaders, Engineering Project Managers and Engineering Managers to ensure a clear, concise, and accurate staffing picture is maintained across the entirety of the Engineering workforce, which also includes subcontractors.
-You will drive engineering and technology process improvements through the review of existing process documentation and update to ensure alignment to Lockheed Martin Command Media.
-You will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. MDS operates in a teammate environment, which means we come together to execute programs in a badge-less environment with other defense contractors.
-You will work with Subcontract Management on overall teammate staffing and conflict resolution.
-Culture is very important to us so an eye towards ensuring the best possible work culture across the program will be vital in this role as well.
Some travel will be required for this role, specifically to Schriever Space Force Base and Huntsville, and occasionally to other locations (e.g., King of Prussia, Denver).

Basic Qualifications:
At least 7 years of functional management experience (e.g., coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions).

Must posses an active Secret Clearance and be eligible for Top Secret/SCI/SAP clearance.

Previous experience as a technical leader of engineering development (e.g. Engineering Project Manager, Lead Systems Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, or Lead I&T)

Detailed knowledge and experience with systems engineering, architecture development, product development, and integration & test.

Proven leader and experience leading development and execution of organization strategic goals & objectives

Demonstrated ability to provide clear guidance and direction to team and prioritizing competing requirements.

Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) to all levels in the corporation and proven ability to represent the organization on significant matters

Must have experience developing proposals, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Statement of Works (SOWs), and Technical Specifications

Demonstrated leader who thinks strategically and proven success as a change agent driving positive changes through the organization

Demonstrated experience successfully leading engineering teams and programs through effective use of metrics, process, and tools

Demonstrated team player and proven success working cross-functionality and across the enterprise

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Agile Development and Model-Based Engineering
Desired Skills:
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Experience or familiarity with the following:
- Ballistic Missile Defense
- Space Domain Awareness
- Missile Defense Agency

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $153,200 - $293,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
