The TPM will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of technology solutions to meet the needs of our investment management business.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the investment management domain, with specific expertise in areas such as LDI, direct trading, fixed income, OTC instruments, and portfolio management/order management (OMS) platforms. Utilize investment management business domain experience to understand and address the unique needs of Mercer's OCIO Business.Collaborate with business users who write their own code/quants, etc., to provide technical guidance and support of how to best integrate their solutions into Mercer technology-built solutions and in a way that complies with firm policy/best practices and regulatory requirements.Apply TPM skills and business analysis techniques to gather requirements, define product roadmaps, and prioritize feature development.Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.Engage with investment teams and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.Work with both vendor and in-house built technology solutions in the investment technology space.Leverage experience in the support needs of a direct trading investment firm to address operational challenges and optimize processes and design proper support models.Adapt to both Agile and traditional project management models, utilizing relevant tools and practices to ensure project success.Assist in projects involving acquisitions of other asset managers to oversee the analysis and project planning of integration into Mercers target operating model (TOM) in a phased manner.What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration) is required. Advanced degree preferred.Extensive experience in the investment management industry, with a focus on LDI, direct trading, fixed income, OTC instruments (swaps/repo), FX, and portfolio management/order management (OMS) platforms.Proven track record in TPM roles, demonstrating strong business analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience in projects involving both vendor and in-house built technology solutions in the investment technology space.Experience in supporting the needs of a direct trading investment firm, understanding the operational challenges and requirements.What makes you stand out
Proficiency in both Agile and traditional project management models, with a solid understanding of relevant tools and practices.
