Join Gilead and help create possible, together. **About the role:** The Senior Manager, Market Access, will play a key role with responsibility for working cross functionally to develop, implement, and manage market access activities, including to provide support to other Market Access team members or have accountability for other Market Access responsibilities as required. In addition, this role will assume responsibility for ANZ pricing governance. Reporting to the Associate Director/Senior Director, Market Access, this role will work closely with cross-functional colleagues including Business Unit team members, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Commercial & Trade Operations, Finance and out of country Global Value & Access. **Key Job Responsibilities:** + Implement strategic initiatives with guidance from Associate Director and Senior Director Market Access, to maximise the commercial potential of existing portfolios and/or new products for both Australia and New Zealand. This may include the development and implementation of reimbursement submissions, post market reviews and deed renegotiations including managing external consultants where appropriate; + Contribute to brand-specific strategic initiatives and market access programs in collaboration with Business Unit teams and cross-functional representatives to achieve brand business goals; + Build therapeutic area specific market access capabilities where appropriate in Gilead Australia for new portfolio(s); + Support Market Access Associate Director or Senior Director in representing Gilead externally with stakeholders including Department of Health, PHARMAC, Medicines Australia and other external experts relevant to the portfolio(s); + Maintain ahigh level of external competitor intelligence and environmental scanning relevant to the selected portfolios through regular review of PBAC, MA, scientific, media and other relevant publications or forums; + Collaborate and ensure a close working relationship with the Business Units, as well as cross functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Commercial & Trade Operations, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, external consultants, Global Value & Access and other Gilead affiliates to maximise business performance and coordination of plans and activities; + Represent Market Access on relevant cross functional teams; + Collaborate and liaise with the global team to identify local country requirements to align overall strategy; + Develop and maintain the Market Access Project plan that encompasses current and future projects, pricing and reimbursement milestones per project and portfolio to ensure appropriate prioritisation across the function and Market Access life cycle management; + Ensure that all market access activities are compliant with regulatory and legal requirements; + Help to identify policy, process and system improvements for issue/problem resolution and provide project management and direction to implement solutions. **_Strategic stakeholder engagement:_** + Establish and grow impactful relationships, maintaining a focus on key internal stakeholders. + Communicate effectively and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally. + Support in analysing complex problems and situations and providing logical recommendations, including leading any required action planning. + Support in setting priorities and direction in circumstances of continued complex and conflicting requirements. **What you will bring to the role** You will be an experienced and driven collaborator, with a deep interest in market access beyond pricing and reimbursement submissions. You will thrive in an environment that enables empowerment to make great outcomes possible, and in turn, embrace a high level of accountability in working on multiple projects/priorities. + Typically requires a university degree and with significant prior experience in a market access role; + Extensive experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries preferred; + In-depth, practical knowledge of the healthcare system and key policies relevant for pharmaceutical market access for highly innovative medicines; + Proven ability to work with and in cross-functional teams or work groups; + Strong strategic thinker with ability to formulate, develop and execute strategy; + Strong analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to identify and understand complex issues and problems, and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate recommendations to senior management and across functional areas; + Strong interpersonal skills; + Must possess, excellent project management and organizational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completion (bias towards execution); + Strong communications skills with an ability to efficiently and productively communicate both orally and in writing are required; + Must possess the ability to maintain, develop, and utilize a level of product and therapeutic disease knowledge; + Operate to high ethical standards; + Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment. **Gilead Leadership Commitments** You will be a role model of the Gilead Leadership Commitments, which are five principles that articulate clear expectations for behaviours and mindsets of all Gilead employees.
