This senior manager will lead a cross-functional Monitoring and Evaluation team to monitor and evaluate programs to ensure that we are achieving commitments, outputs and potential outcomes of those activities and interventions by leveraging high quality data collection, analysis, and communication. The primary purpose of this position is to provide full management through managers and/or professional staff to measure child/youth outcomes and program and partner satisfaction. This responsibility includes hiring, discipline, and termination, as well as coaching, performance management, assigning, checking, and approving work to satisfy broad objectives and department strategies. He/she will ensure completion of team responsibilities, calling on available resources to achieve team objectives, and working within the approved budget.

Provide leadership and development to direct reports. Work with staff to foster an environment of professional growth, in alignment with Compassion’s strategies and objectives.
Lead a team of professionals and subordinate managers to provide diverse functional expertise to global ministry programs in the area of Monitoring and Evaluation.
Working through subordinate professionals, champion holistic child development and provide the organization ongoing subject matter expertise in using high quality data to measure program inputs, outputs, outcomes.
Lead the development and implementation of tools and instruments for organization-wide use that enable partners and the program team to collect a variety of data to monitor and evaluate the overall program, satisfaction with the program, and interventions chosen to address specific child/youth needs.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of dashboards that track critical needs assessment and program implementation and effectiveness data that enable the National Offices and partners to make data-informed decisions.
Develop and maintain work plans guided by functional and organizational plans that drive toward clarity of tasks and timelines
What do you bring?
Master's degree in a related field, required
10 years of relevant experience designing and managing monitoring and evaluation systems
Experience working in international development, with child/youth focus preferred
Experience managing a technical team on tasks and projects
Strong oral and written communication with the ability to explain complicated or technical information in a simple way to non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and adaptability
Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, data collection techniques, analytical tools and data collection tools (e.g., ODK, R, Stata)
