The Role

As a Senior Manager Network Planning you will holistically manage and mitigate sometimes conflicting risk profiles associated using business strategy, data science and analytics, monthly financial obligations, network architecture, profitability, and revenue enablement, while maximizing profit margin. You will also collaborate with teams across the business including finance, product, pricing strategy and sales to support key business initiatives. Evaluate network architecture design, in addition to feasibility and cost studies. In this role you will develop alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.  Lastly, you will prepare succinct conclusions to deliver to leadership and influence the direction of the organization with actional plan tied to these recommended outcomes with the support of data.

 

This position will manage the Infrastructure Planning team that manages/plans Lumen network facilities and data centers. The Infrastructure Planning team also manages the installation of racks, power, and overhead infrastructure as needed to support customer colocation and network projects within Lumen network facilities.

This position is fully remote work from home within the US.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.5+ years of experience in network infrastructure management, including design, implementation, and maintenance.Capability of understanding and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.Understand how to drive decision making through data analytics.Create executive level content to communicate key strategies and business observations.Experience leading people in an individual or front-line leadership capacity.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of networking technologies and architectures.Good knowledge of financial and accounting principles and processes.Ability to problem solve and work effectively in complex, ambiguous situations.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.Operate consistently with a sense of urgency and a ‘can-do’ attitude.Demonstrate excellent problem solving, negotiating, conflict management and decision-making skills.Proven track record of driving productivity while maintaining or increasing quality.

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

$111480 - $148630 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$117340 - $156450 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$123210 - $164280 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$129080 - $172100 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

 

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
