What you will be doing

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Analytics Manager, to support development of insights and analytics for our Loyalty and CRM initiatives and help us realize our vision.

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Manager, who is passionate about data driven decision making and who will be responsible for leading, analyzing and measuring our Loyalty Rewards programs and CRM campaigns (email, text, push).
The position will be based in Pleasanton, CA (preferred location) or one of our main regional or corporate offices.
Main responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Manager of Marketing Analytics to lead and drive insights across our marketing initiatives, including paid media, loyalty rewards membership, partnerships, and CRM channels (email, text, and push). This role is critical to providing actionable insights to business stakeholders, enabling them to optimize strategies and achieve their goals. The Senior Manager will lead a team of two direct reports and collaborate with two offshore resources, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence in analytics.
Strategic Analytics Leadership: Develop and execute an analytics roadmap to support paid marketing, loyalty rewards, partnerships, and CRM channels. Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, engineering, loyalty analytics, Paid Media and CRM teams to ensure alignment and integration of insights into business strategies. Act as a thought leader, identifying opportunities to improve marketing performance through data-driven insights. Clearly articulate / tell the narrative of what is working and not. Develop and implement measurement frameworks and KPIs to monitor and evaluate both the short term and long-term effectiveness of marketing campaigns and programs. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and execute an analytics roadmap to support paid marketing, loyalty rewards, partnerships, and CRM channels. Build strong relationships with business teams, understand their challenges and provide tailored analytics solutions. Effectively communicate complex insights to non-technical audiences, influencing decision-making at all levels of the organization. Negotiate priorities and timelines with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of analytics initiatives. Evaluate trends, patterns and results to determine business impacts of marketing activities on shopper behavior and identify improvement opportunities Marketing Insights to Activation: Empower marketing team with insights at scale on loyalty rewards, customer segments and CRM campaigns that help build customer engagement, drive category growth and that delivers actionable insights for the business and channel owners: Ingest and enable customer dimension sciences around key benefits (i.e., price, inspiration, health etc.) and nuanced customer segmentations to be activated on. Help dig deep into various customer segments to allow us to build the most relevant lifecycle journeys. For example, creatively use different data assets (1st party shopping behavior, clickstream data, media consumption, demographic variables) to bring the above to life. Democratize customer segmentations for activation across channels. Analyze large amounts of transaction and customer/shopper data and communicate impactful customer insights, trends and opportunities for marketing team to activate on. Transform data and tables into data visualizations that bring to life insights. Foster creative thinking around how we could use data to solve unique business challenges in support of all Marketing activities (Media, Creative, CRM, Loyalty rewards engagement and eCommerce). Proactively seek out and utilize data to understand customer opportunities – for example understand what impact does channel, rewards and category have at a customer level? What is the next best step for that customer across communication channels? Continuous Improvement Evaluate trends, patterns and results to determine business impacts of marketing activities on shopper behavior and identify improvement opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing analytics. Champion the adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance analytics capabilities. Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting and analysis. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two direct reports and oversee the work of two offshore resources. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth. Ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines. Prioritize and communicate out to stakeholders on project timelines and prioritization in bi-weekly sprints. Cross Functional Partnership and collaboration: Work closely with our measurement team and broader analytical teams such as customer and market intelligence, data science, loyalty, shopper experience, eCommerce, paid media and divisions to maximize the impact of our team’s work. Partner with Loyalty and CRM teams to drive adoption for customer led activation and engagement across various marketing channels. Contribute to large data-driven projects, collaborating with analytic peers, data science and cross-functional departments to develop and implement improved ways to understand customers and opportunities. Strategic Partner for all data platforms: Be a strong user and consult on all marketing related data tools. Be a partner to product and data teams in ensuring our customers are identified well and makes for a sound foundation to activate on. Help optimize and validate data products with C360 team that make it easy for our business users to find the insights they need to serve our customers and identify opportunities for acceleration, operational efficiencies to customer activations, growth and loyalty.The salary range is $102,000.00 to $145,000.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). What we are searching for
10+ years of experience in roles similar to these: data scientist, customer analyst, loyalty analyst, CRM analyst, paid media analyst, targeting and analytics. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Big Query, Power BI, GCP, Adobe Analytics, Databricks or similar analytics tools. 3-5 years of experience in developing audience segmentations, designing tests for targeted marketing. 3+ years of people management experience 3+ years of experience of leading a cross functional strategic project with tangible business impact. Familiarity and comfort with test and learn tools and platforms preferred. A data scientist with a strong mind for business and someone customer obsessed. A storyteller who brings data and analytics to life for marketers to activate on. Demonstrated organization skills and project management experience. Experience working in Grocery Retail or CPG industries preferred but not required. Comfortable working with large data sets, stitching and analyzing disparate and complex data (ecommerce, 3rd party data, instore purchase behaviors). You are courageous and when necessary are able to challenge and encourage partners to drive customer centric thinking and decision making. You are enthusiastic about innovating iteratively, comfortable with ambiguity, and can drive your own projects and influence other teams to work with you to drive the analytical workplan.
