The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Proprietary Space and S&T Programs to join their team in Arlington, VA.

This exciting opportunity will provide government relations, communications, and business development support to Boeing Defense and Space (including Millennium Space Systems) and Boeing Research and Technology leadership.  The ideal candidate will facilitate collaboration with Department of Defense, U.S. Space Force, Intelligence Community, and DOD Science and Technology leadership on requirements and capabilities provided by the Boeing Company.   The Senior Manager will coordinate Boeing efforts and strategies to keep space and Science and Technology (S&T) programs sold, capture new programs, and grow domestic and international business. 

The candidate will work with large scale, high value, and technically complex space systems and architectures, focusing on synchronization of engagements with customers in the National Capital Region and advising business development units on customer requirements, perspectives, and desired solutions.  Finally, the candidate will support corporate, Congressional, and public policy interactions to ensure full funding for space and S&T programs.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops and enhances Boeing’s relationships with relevant Executive Branch agencies, including the Executive Office of the President, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the U.S. Space Force, the Intelligence Community, DARPA, DIU, and SCO.Spearheads Boeing Defense, Space & Security C-suite level engagements with key government senior leaders within the national security space and S&T community.Provides advice and support to Boeing Defense, Space & Security business unit leaders regarding the strategic environment, including shifting customer perspectives and emerging trends in national security space acquisition and operations, and the DOD and IC S&T communityCoordinates with counterparts across Boeing functions--including strategy, business development, global marketing, and legislative affairs--to identify market opportunities, shape customer requirements, and craft business campaigns to exploit those opportunitiesContributes to modeling and simulation efforts, displays, and demos that highlight the capabilities of Boeing space and satellite systems and educate a wide-range of national security space stakeholders across the U.S. governmentSupports Boeing participation in air and trade shows and facilitates the company’s relationship with relevant non-profit organizations, including the Air & Space Forces Association and the Space Force Association

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higher10+ Experience with space operations, acquisition and/or service in the intelligence communityExperience working with the United States Space Force (or Space Operations in the US Air Force)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Master’s degree or higher10+ years of experience as an officer in the US Military

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $191,250 - $258,750
