PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior Manager of Subcontracts will lead and oversee the management of complex contractual undertakings, supporting Worley’s mission to deliver sustainable change and value for its clients. This role focuses on strategic contract approach, contractor engagement and the successful execution of agreements that align with our ambition to drive sustainability. The Senior Manager of Subcontracts will ensure that contract terms support business objectives and that contractual obligations are met while fostering collaborative relationships with contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contract Strategy and Negotiation\: Ensure development and implementation of contract strategies that align with project goals and organizational objectives. Ensure negotiations for high-value and complex contracts, ensuring fair and advantageous terms for all parties are implemented. Contract Lifecycle Management\: Ensure the proper oversight of the entire contract lifecycle, from pre-award to post-award phases, including change management, claims defense, and contractual dispute resolution. Collaborate with legal teams as needed to safeguard the company’s rights and remedies. Contractor Engagement\: Ensure the Identification, solicitation and selection of  reliable contractors that could supply consulting, specialty and construction services will support project goals and expectations. Ensure the Fostering of strong, sustainable relationships with contractors to ensure consistent delivery of services and value to projects. Compliance and Performance Monitoring\: Ensure all contracts comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and project standards. Ensure the proper Monitoring of contractor performance, providing guidance and assisting with corrective actions where necessary to maintain alignment with project objectives. Stakeholder Collaboration\: Act as a liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams, when required to  promote transparent communication and effective problem-solving to meet shared goals. Leadership and Team Development\: Manage, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of contract professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration, growth, and accountability. Process Optimization\: Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes, leveraging technology and innovative practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET

Educational Background\: A university degree in business, law, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Professional Experience\: Significant experience in contract management within the energy, chemicals, resources sectors as well as other strategic markets, with proven expertise in handling complex contractual arrangements. Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
