Senior Manager of User Experience Research

ADP is hiring a UX Research Senior Manager.

Are you an inspiring people leader who can manage and empower high-performing researchers? Are you looking to join a dynamic, inclusive team environment with a culture of collaboration and belonging? Are you empathic to client needs and capable of transforming research data into compelling and persuasive narratives?

Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to design what's next?

In this role, you will be a leader in ADP's UX Research leadership team, where you will support a team and identify, support, and sometimes conduct research to inform what we create for ADP's Human Capital Management solutions, impacting employees and practitioners across the globe. Every day you and your team will be the voice of our users with UX designers, product managers, and developers. You're on a constant mission to understand them better by analyzing research data and asking key questions that inform our product and design decisions. You help our organization better understand their clients so that they can build better solutions.

To thrive in this role, you should be an expert in both people leadership and research program leadership, across all phases of strategic and evaluative research, from planning to data collection to presentation to driving action. You know how to craft effective research strategy using qualitative and quantitative methods, how to explain your approach to your partners in a way that builds trust, and when to scale back. You anticipate potential challenges or roadblocks and are adept at addressing them and raising risks. You prioritize work for your team and lead them through changes in plans with ease.

Most importantly, you listen to your partners with empathy, and you translate complex ideas through your unique lens to persuade people to adopt a different point of view. Teams rely on your trusted voice and strategic thinking to identify new opportunities and drive towards desired outcomes. You speak with ease to large audiences and know how to tailor persuasive presentations to executive audiences. You focus on developing your team members individual growth and team culture.

You're a passionate leader focused on engagement as well as results, and whe necessary, you're not afraid to step things up to a fast pace or roll your sleeves up to demonstrate key parts of the work to your team. As part of our team, you'll find exciting challenges, opportunities to grow your career, and unlimited partnership opportunities as we design what's next for ADP and the industry. We still find time for a healthy dose of fun.

Here's what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Senior Manager of UX Research at ADP.

You are the lead voice asking "why" to understand what questions you need to answer and how data might help make those decisions. You'll also guide your team to create research plans and execute to make these ideas a reality.  Leading with heart and experience. Your years of team leadership have delivered amazing results, and you pride yourself on developing the people who work for you, as well as providing an inclusive team environment where they all can thrive. If asked, they would follow you anywhere and enthusiastically credit you with helping to grow their careers by empowering them to be their best. Strategy and vision. Devising research strategies to support product roadmaps is a strong competency. You have a desire and aptitude for spotting user experience research trends and turning them into enterprise recommendations. Partnership. You'll work each day with people from across the product development team in a fast-paced environment to understand issues and determine priorities for research. You will present insights in a compelling narrative and establish rapport with senior leadership. Data-driven decision making. You advocate for the use of data and evidence in decision-making processes, ensuring that the UX research team plays a pivotal role in shaping outcomes. Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be working on anything from one-on-one conversations with direct reports to crafting a research strategy for a business unit. You know how to apply different methods based on the situation and able to manage multiple priorities across your team.
