Come build your future, while being the reason millions of people find a brighter financial future with Discover. **Job Description:** **What You'll Do** + The Media Center of Excellence is a part of Enterprise Marketing and is responsible for centralization and standardization of fundamental paid media marketing and compliance efforts, as well as bringing tactical and detail-oriented work streams together to find smarter, faster ways of working. + This role ensures seamless coverage of workload across media planning and buying functions, compliance activities, and active monitoring and coordination of brand safety and suitability practices. This involves managing deadlines and communicating with lines of business and agency media planners and buyers, resolving issues as they arise, and ensuring that agency procedures are followed to maximize efficiencies in workflow and media spending. + Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of a team. Formulates policies, manages daily operations, identifies ways to improve the way we work, drives incremental value, introduces efficiencies and plans the use of materials and resources. Responsibilities include: + Building relationships with stakeholders and key members of various practice areas + Identify and implement process development and improvement + Direct relationship management of media agency partners for cross Line of Business servicing efforts. + Partner with Line of Business leads to populate Agency Business Plans + Support Agency Performance goals and monitoring. + Support annual agency scoping and staffing conversations + Oversee & manage financial deliverables such as: + Cross line of business spend tracking and reporting + Delivery of media savings targets and efficiency efforts + Coordinate billing and payment activities with Accounts Payable to resolve any delinquent remittances ensuring all teams are adhering to payment terms. + Ensure compliant delivery of media related activities inclusive of: + Fair Banking reviews of campaign targets and tactical practices. + CMS routines and controls. + 3rd and 4th party vendor management and governance. + Supporting contracting process for new vendors + Support rollout, process and consistent operation of core systems and tools + Oversee firm-wide Brand Safety & Suitability Best Practices and monitoring efforts + Work with Programmatic and Social specialists to ensure partnerships and monitoring solutions are working effectively. **How You'll Do It** + Directs and coordinates activities of the business. + Develops staff and assigns specific duties. + Monitors suppliers to ensure they efficiently and effectively provide services within budgetary limits. + Reviews financial statements, reports, and performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement. Identifies areas for cost reduction and improvement. + Directs administrative activities related to providing services. + Able to balance numerous, simultaneous work streams + Organized, detail-oriented, good with time management, obsessed with accuracy, a strong critical thinker, and able to juggle multiple tasks. + Good at building relationships - a creative problem solver, a customer service expert, a great team player. + A strong communicator - able to write clearly, speak professionally, and translate data analysis into insights that can be acted upon by strategists, planners, and buyers alike. + Excited by the idea of diving deep into data, including new technologies where benchmarks are just beginning to emerge. **Qualifications You'll Need** **The Basics** + Bachelors Business Administration and Management + 6+ years Management, Operations, Customer Service or related + In Lieu of Education 10+ years Business Operations or related **Physical and Cognitive Requirements** The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package.
