Let’s define tomorrow together! **Job overview and responsibilities** The Senior Manager - Portfolio Strategy and Planning will play a pivotal role in shaping the departments future by managing important cycles, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the alignment of our initiatives with long-term impact goals. This individual will be responsible for developing financial forecasts, evaluating strategic investments, and defining success metrics. They will also lead market research efforts, communicate strategic plans to leadership, and manage the performance of technology partners. + Goal Planning and Prioritization: + Manage quarterly and annual planning and prioritization cycles to align with long-term impact goals + Identify opportunities for growth, product development, and market expansion + Financial Forecasting and Budget Management: + Develop and maintain financial forecasts and budgets + Support the evaluation of critical initiatives and investment opportunities through case development and financial modeling + Metrics and Analysis: + Define and assess metrics to measure the success of strategies + Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate market trends and the viability of critical initiatives + Partnership and Collaboration: + Build and maintain trusting partnerships including Ancillary Products, PRM, Loyalty, Alliances, and other DT teams + Ensure key initiatives are adequately funded and resourced + Continuously communicate our goals, strategies, and plans to leaders, peers, and functional partners + Represent the Ancillary Platforms team in cross-functional IT/Digital portfolio planning + Communication and Leadership: + Communicate goals, strategies, and plans to Digital Transformation (DT) leadership and business partners + Lead process improvements, identify standard methodologies, and foster human capital development in support of our strategy + Monitor strategy effectiveness and implement necessary adjustments + Act as the representative for the Digital Retail Portfolio (DRP) team in cross-functional IT/Digital portfolio planning. + Team Leadership and Management: + Lead and manage a team of strategy professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment + Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities to team members + Ensure the team is aligned with company goals and strategies, and that individual contributions are recognized + Manage team workload and delegate responsibilities to ensure efficient operation and project delivery United Airlines is an equal opportunity employer. United Airlines recruits, employs, trains, compensates, and promotes regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, age, veteran status, and other protected status as required by applicable law. **Qualifications** **Required** + Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields + 7+ years of related work experience + 5 years of management experience in a related role, including prior experience in Finance Analysis + 3+ years Airline experience + Direct experience in leading organizations involved in the planning and execution of several concurrent, cross-functional projects + Outstanding communication, analytical, and teamwork skills; ability to craft narratives based on data to connect with executive-level audience + Strong business sense, with analytical and problem-solving skills + Ability to take complex and ambiguous problems and develop clear, structured thinking using data and hypothesis- first approach + Agile approach and ability to drive projects independently from strategy to execution + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position **Preferred** Master's degree The base pay range for this role is $124,735.00 to $169,950.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
