Senior Manager - Program Operations

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems has a great opportunity for  an experienced Program Operations Senior Manager to lead a newly formed team responsible for creating a bridge between Operations and the P&L in the Secure line of business, our biggest needle-moving line of business, and driving process rigor into EAC’s, proposals, and New Product Introductions. 

 

Job Responsibility:

Build the Secure Program Operations organization into a high-performance team Serve as main point of contact for operations into the Secure line of business – from material procurement through hardware delivery Establish robust framework for assessing operations content on EAC’s, including risk & opportunity evaluation Refine basis of estimate process for proposal activities Stakeholder for business unit make-buy-where board Approval responsibility for NPI gate process, ensuring production ready product at handoff point to the factory

Required Qualification:

Experience communicating complex concepts or ideas in a clear and concise manner to various levels of internal & external stakeholders Experience defining processes and driving them into standard-work Proficient in EVM (earned value management) or a similar methodology Experience managing a budget Proficient in ERP/MRP systems Background in at least one of the following: manufacturing, operations, supply chain, planning, program management, process engineering Experience working in an IPT structure Experience leading teams and succeeding in a matrixed environment Willingness to travel >25%, with expectation for high level of travel up front during team formation

Preferred Qualification:

Experience with DoD & Aerospace Industries Experience converting business area and customer requirements into executable strategies Working knowledge of PowerBI, Mendix & advanced excel tools Active Secret Clearance preferred; or the the ability to obtain one
