Senior Manager - RemoteReq #:0000180339 Category:Inventory Control Status:Full-Time Shift:Day Facility:RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Services Department:SC Contracting Location: System Business Office, 2 Crescent Place, Oceanport, NJ 07757 Job Overview: The Senior Contract Manager plays a critical role in our ability to achieve goals by creating and maintaining strong relationships with our Stakeholders and Vendor Partners as well as create a cohesive environment by managing a team of Contract Professionals. In this role, the Senior Contract Manager is responsible for maintaining their team s contract portfolios that supports an item to contract ratio of 95% in all medical and non-medical areas, with a primary focus on best value and standardization. The Senior Contract Manger s ability to analyze the current practices in order to support and enhance the contract life cycle is important. Project Management and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through initiatives from inception to completion is a primary function. The Senior Contracts Manager should lead by example and be an effective role model for their team by providing guidance and motivation to help their Team achieve maximum results in their both their personal and Team goals Qualifications: Required: + Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university + Five (5) years of related work experience in Contract Administration, Vendor Management or Purchasing, preferably in a healthcare provider setting + PeopleSoft preferred, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint Preferred: + PeopleSoft preferred, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint Scheduling Requirements: + Full-Time + Days Essential Functions: + Manage a Contract team by delegating responsibilities and supervising business operations + Assess employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities, Provide motivation and coaching to employees, ensure staff members follow company policies and procedures. + Manage a contract team portfolio based on category, facility or other and ensuring that portfolio contracts are current and producing value for the organization + Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies. + Ability to develop, present, track and achieve long-range business plans and strategies + Generating reports and presenting information to upper-level managers or other parties. + Drives savings and value creation through the negotiation of pricing and other terms that enhance the business and clinical operations + Draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute Contractual and Pricing Agreements as well as RFPs with Suppliers directly or through the GPO + Establish and maintain complex supplier relationships by serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters in order to provide resolution for conflicts, complaints and escalations (internal and external) + Knowledge of basic legal principles and commercial business terms + Knowledge of project management processes and systems in order to meet deadlines and achieve goals + Ability to achieve goals that are focused on savings targets + Ability to be sensitive to the needs of customers through the practice of quality service principles + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to persuade internal and external stakeholders Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
