Senior Manager - Revenue Recognition - Hybrid

The Senior Manager, Revenue Recognition, will oversee general accounting activities, including contract review, account analysis, and ad hoc special projects. This role ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. The Senior Manager will also perform reviews of quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) and provide financial support, including comparing revenue results to expected outcomes. This position involves managing at least one Direct Report and supporting their professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the revenue recognition team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.Prepare for and participate in monthly revenue meetings, reviewing monthly revenue trends.Maintain supporting revenue accounting documentation, including checklists and spreadsheets for all new and existing projects.Review quarterly EACs, ensuring the reasonableness of assumptions used by the Business Finance team.Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with quarterly revenue accounting and facilitate year-end financial audits.Implement company-wide revenue accounting procedures and practices to ensure compliance with ASC 606.Provide support and analytics to help leadership make informed decisions regarding revenue recognition.Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for dissemination to Operations.Track metrics on new setups, modifications, and other outstanding SOX deliverables from CMS and Cognos.Oversee data entry of manual revenue adjustments into Costpoint.

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree from an accredited university.5+ years of related experience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably with government contractors or a global public company.Experience in managing and developing a team.Experience in advanced excel and analytical programs.Experience working with ASC 606 principles.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Active CPA preferred or CPA candidate.Experience in revenue recognition for various contract types (Cost Plus, T&M, FPLOE, and FP) is a plus.1-3 years of public accounting experience preferred.Experience with major ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Netsuite, Deltek/Costpoint).Experience reviewing/analyzing EACs.SOX process experience.Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.Excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$128,265.00 - $218,051.00
