Senior Manager Scheduling

The salary range for this role is:

$107,204.09 - $192,835.28

Responsibilities:

This role is a critical executional role and essential in collecting data to drive improvement and communicating opportunities to the run strategy back to the supply planning. The position will provide expertise for the production scheduling and sequencing. Key roles include the optimization of the systems parameters and the ability to integrate across the tools to improve business performance. Responsibilities include creating and owning the short-term finite production schedule. This role will serve as the short-term communication channel between supply planning and the operation teams.

Issue daily production plan to the materials group, production staff, and Supply Chain Planning. Advise of any pack or labeling priorities and issue production/labeling instructions to plant.Review Supply Chain Planning requirements and advise if production can be accomplished as planned. If not, make changes to the seasonal plan and notify Supply Chain Planning of changes due to line constraints or other constrictions.Manage the finite production schedule for manufacturing lines.Drive optimized sequencing of the finite schedule through continuous improvement of, as well as by ensuring the process to maintain master data within SAP APO – PPDS (Production Planning / Detail Scheduling) tool.Work with the plant operation teams to address short term production exception needs.Obtain production requirements from Supply Chain Planning.Participate in joint discussions between the capacity planners and plant operations to develop the optimum run strategy.Develop standard processes to manage blocked stock communication from the local quality departments to the production plan.Complete weekly schedule attainment and adherence setting and reason coding.Publish Daily Actual Production versus Planned.Communicate pack dates to Supply Chain Planning and outside support resources. Communicate tonnage requirements to Field Group. Communicate with Accounting in Modesto on production requirements and changes.Analyze long-term production plans and develop seasonal capacity planning models showing planned production and available capacity.Manage brite inventories and bulk inventories. Ensure in-house brite inventories are at the lowest level possible prior to Fresh Pack.Calculate bulk requirements per week and ensure adequate in-house supplies. Facilitate bulk transfers and advise as to outside vendor purchase requirements.Identify and lead process improvement initiatives related to execution and planned growth.Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and production to coordinate production activities, change orders, new product launches, etc.Participate in and champion MRP system development activities, including specification writing, development, testing, and training.Track, report, and communicate KPIs. Demonstrate continuous improvement and follow-up on action plans.Foster and develop a strong team.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

BA/BS in Logistics, Operations Management, or Business preferred, or related field or equivalent experience in a similar role.Minimum of 5 years related experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain management, production/material planning, detailed scheduling, replenishment planning, demand planning, and/or materials management is required.High level of expertise in SAP planning and scheduling tools including APO and PPDS preferred.Ability to interpret and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals.Autonomous with superior attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.Excellent conflict resolution skills.Ability to effectively communicate with various functions and levels within the organization.Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Ability to train others.
