Growing together.** **Primary Responsibilities:** + Build and manage multiple teams in an Agile software development environment, using appropriate techniques and tools and empowering the Team to self-organize + Shape the Product Roadmap in partnership with Product Management + Setup goals to monitor progress against goals + Hire, coach, manage, and mentor a team of geographically distributed software engineers + Lead & resolve the technical discussions with developers in teams + Participate in Design/Solution sessions with Architect, Product Manager and other stakeholders to build the design of new features aligning with architecture roadmap of product + Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience + 12+ years of full SDLC experience + 6+ years of coding experience with JVM based languages (Java/Scala/Groovy) + 2+ years of experience with SQL and working on databases like Oracle, PostGres, mongodb/nosql + Experience creating and maintaining APIs using open source frameworks like SpringBoot, Play + Experience delivering software using an Agile/Scrum methodology + Experience developing and deploying solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP Public Cloud platforms, preferably azure + Experience in secure development practice + Experience in functional programming **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in Healthcare + Experience using advanced data science tools such as Python, R, SQL, Spark and H2O + Experience with front-end development frameworks like JQuery, React, Angular, etc. + Hands-on experience in developing analytics with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and/or other related modeling techniques _At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
