Bosch Building Technologies is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems and communication systems as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner.
International and interdisciplinary cooperation: As Senior Purchasing Manager for electronic components (w./m./div.), you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.As a Senior Purchasing Manager, you will lead a global team of 13 strategic buyers (Germany, China, Portugal) and will be responsible for developing and implementing the purchasing strategy for electronic components.
Leadership & Team Management: Provide disciplinary and functional leadership to the strategic purchasing team, with a particular focus on the Munich location.
Strategy Development: Take responsibility for the material field and supplier strategies, aligning them with global purchasing and corporate objectives. Oversee supplier relationships and drive the strategic development of the supplier base.
Procurement Processes: Hold overall responsibility for all procurement processes, including contract management, price negotiations, awarding, and handling escalations due to delivery bottlenecks.
Value Contribution & Cost Management: Support the management in budget planning, monitor monthly KPIs, and ensure annual cost savings through negotiations and technical cost reduction projects.
QualificationsEducation: A master's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field is required.Experience and Expertise: More than 10 years of professional experience in purchasing direct materials for a globally operating company in an international environment. Proven experience in developing supplier strategies, managing bottlenecks, and communicating across different management levels. Experience with successful regionalization is an advantage.Qualifications: You possess strong leadership and management skills and can demonstrate experience in an international setting.Personality and Working Practice: You have open, flexible, and target group-oriented communication skills, along with a high level of resilience and assertiveness. You are a passionate leader who actively contributes to business success. Additionally, you have a structured working style, an entrepreneurial mindset in an international environment, and a strong affinity for cross-departmental collaboration.Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
