This position monitors and drives the focused execution of division strategic projects and operational plan to ensure strategic, financial, and operational objectives are achieved. The position supports the Director of Strategy with other key strategic endeavors.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Strategic Insight & Planning**
+ Monitor the marketplace to identify and assess key consumer and industry trends that can inform Beverage strategy and operational plans. Assess strategic opportunities and ambitious threats.
+ External and Internal benchmarking including quarterly and annual reports and analysis of key competitors and industry trends.
+ Support the division in the formulation and tracking of the operational plans (MBS, ICP, portfolio strategy), including the cascading of objectives through the division. Provide ongoing support in driving the division’s strategic agenda and aligning with key decision makers.
+ Strong understanding of how to drive the base business of shareholder value creation and influence the division portfolio strategy and business model design.
+ New Business Model ideation and transformation.
**Project Management & Delivery**
+ With the Director of Strategy & other Coffee and Beverage Leadership members, lead the delivery of division-wide strategic projects in the areas of commercial/growth acceleration, new business platforms, and margin/ROI optimization.
+ Coordinate with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects. May work with sales, marketing, insights, manufacturing and finance to resolve their needs. Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives to ensure appropriate stakeholder management.
+ Establish effective organizational processes (Score Cards / Key Performance Indicators) to track the execution and results of the division.
+ Lead preparation for ELT Quarterly Business Reviews, MBS and AOP processes.
+ Support Ensuring Supply with brand-centric Storytelling presentations, ensuring appropriate stakeholder management throughout the journey.
**Change Management**
+ Partner with Director of Strategy and other relevant leaders and team to drive organizational change initiatives. You will play an important role in defining, executing, monitoring division-wide to targeted change.
+ Liaise with the Division Leadership Team to expedite decision-making for business decisions to ensure alignment with our overall strategy.
**REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:**
+ A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA degree preferred.
+ 5-7+ years of related work experience in any of these relevant functions: marketing, corporate finance, portfolio management, strategic planning, business development.
+ Knowledge of overall end-to-end value chain and shareholder value creation with experience in the following areas:
+ Business Strategy, Business Development, Commercial Acceleration, Margin Optimization, Program Management and Change Management.
+ Marketplace knowledge to include consumer, customer, competition, and business models is required.
+ Previous experience in strategic planning, project management, team/resource management, process design and implementation, and business integration is required. Highly developed expertise in strategy development, including project formulation, hypotheses development, financial and business modeling, strategic options identification, consensus building and implementation.
+ Strong analytical, P&L, project management and change management skills need to help develop strategic solutions for the division.
+ Experience within CPG (or adjacent industries) is considered a critical advantage.
**EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:**
+ Self-starter and driven leader with excellent communication & organizational skills, while possessing the ability to influence and constructively challenge cross-functional leaders to achieve project goals.
+ Strong commercial and P/L awareness
+ Understanding of the key business process principles (MBS / ICP / MBP) and the value of good planning and execution.
+ Strong influencer and ability to work without direct authority and in ambiguous environments, ability to engage in and run healthy conflict.
+ Superior written and verbal communication skills to include master storytelling with all levels of audience.
+ Excellent PowerPoint skills and presentation development.
+ Strong strategic, conceptual, analytical and organizational skills.
+ Ability to problem solve, effectively prioritize and drive processes.
