We have an opportunity for a dedicated team player to be a part of a fast-paced, busy manufacturing environment! As a successful candidate you will exhibit manual dexterity, reliability, basic math and computer skills and an aptitude for learning things quickly. Manufacturing experience is not required but is preferred. Any college level educational experience considered.

 

As a Sr. Manufacturing Associate, you will provide manufacturing engineering and process development support for critical and proprietary processes used in the manufacture of medical ultrasound transducers. Apply subject matter expertise to develop improved process performance and product reliability. Work from requirements and problem descriptions with little supervision. Resolve process problems to root cause in an expeditious manner. Provide NPI support including DFM feedback. Mentor Jr engineers, technicians, production management and other personnel. Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives. Contribute beyond functional boundaries. Manage supplier corrective actions. Write unambiguous, concise and effective engineering reports. Maintain accurate BOMs and procedures.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Machining – Dicing, grinding, milling.Mixing/curing processes (acoustic matching layer and backing block formulations, adhesives, epoxies).Cleaning processes (plasma etch, vapor degrease, ultrasonic, aqueous etc.)General array assembly (stack-bond, lens, cable, test, etc.)Metallization (thin film deposition)Manufacturing engineering support for transducer operations.New process development to support NPIInitiate and support product/process improvements through lean and 6 sigma methods that improve quality, cost and delivery metrics.Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of theCompany’s quality system

Knowledge and Experience:

2+ years experience with medical device manufacturingExperience with thin film deposition processes and equipment preferred (sputter)Experience with industry-standard cleaning processes (aqueous, plasma etching etc) preferredExperience with dicing and precision machining processes and measuring equipment preferredExperience with acoustic measurement of materials preferred

Skills and Abilities:

Strong PC skills required (MS word, Excel, CAD)Strong scientific approach to problem solving required (6 sigma, DOE etc)Strong analytical abilitiesMust be able to carry 20-40lbs with or without accommodations.​Must be able to stand for periods of time throughout the day.

Shift Requirements: 

Shift hours are 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday – Thursday with an excellent opportunity for overtime on Friday-Saturday
