Senior Manufacturing Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:
Adecco Staffing is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. The senior manufacturing engineer is responsible in leading the manufacturing team to transition new products from engineering prototype to high-volume production. General responsibilities will include areas of manufacturing, assembly tooling, manufacturing engineering, and new product line start-up, including assembly and test equipment validation and qualification, associated with the development and commercialization of new precision motion products. The AME will work under the direction of the Operation Manager in a fast-paced collaborative environment supportive of program initiatives and compliant with best practices. In addition, they also serve to mentor and guide production associates and junior engineers to assist with the completion of project related tasks and objectives. Key deliverables for the AME will be the establishment of manufacturing process to meet or exceed project Time to Market goals and operational metrics such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.?

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Collaborate with design engineers on new designs with a focus on ensuring Design for Manufacturability and Design for Reliability.
+ Design and develop manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment, documents processes via work instructions and trains team to standards.
+ Support the manufacturing team in resolving issues identified during production including those related to electromechanical components and systems.
+ Design, develop, and qualify poka-yoke and fixturing strategies to be used in reducing process variation in assembly processes.?
+ Diagnosing and resolving issues related to both electrical and mechanical aspects of systems.
+ Develop and implement process improvements related to cycle time reduction, cost reduction, and other activities by reducing/eliminating non-value-added activities.
+ Participate in design review and review/approve part drawings from engineering.
+ Act as customer advocate when addressing quality issues by utilizing problem solving techniques to drive to root cause / corrective action for any escapes.
+ Support the Engineering Change Order (ECO) system from generation through implementation.
+ Design tooling/fixturing and establish process flow that enables the safest possible working environment.
+ Establish part criticality levels based on design intent and correlation to system performance.
+ Perform first article inspections/qualification of internally machined and supplied parts as needed.
+ Implement AQL-driven sampling plans and methods to ensure part compliance and drive supplier accountability.
+ Design and test product packaging in accordance with ISTA standards.
**Pay Details:** $50.00 to $57.00 per hour
