We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the build and test of products from sub-assemblies to box-level end-items in the production factory as well as the repair depot. In this role, you will focus on quality, safety and delivery, and work cross-functionally within the operations organization and other disciplines/functions.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
+ Create rework plans for factory fallout.
+ Interface with Engineering, Quality, and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause.
+ Support the assembly, test, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies, modules, and sub-assemblies, working directly with hardware and design engineering personnel as required.
+ Support Electronic related Supply Chain Vendor Information Request (VIR).
+ Generate and implement improvements in product and test design and develop methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve throughput.
+ Monitor Quality data for trends and outliers and report regularly to the team.
+ Feedback lessons learned to the design teams for continuous improvement.
+ Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation.
+ Interface with governmental customers, auditors, and suppliers as required.
+ Provide training and support to manufacturing team members.
+ Support relocation of manufacturing equipment and test equipment between manufacturing sites and lead transition to production.
+ Support Root Cause and Corrective Action activities.
+ Identify, Create, and Implement Engineering Change Orders on products as required.
+ Support BAE-Mpls MK45/VLS Supplier (Supplier) In-Process PWA Testing and nonconformance activities (TIPQA) using developed Routings, Work Instructions within budgetary, labor and schedule constraints.
+ Create/Update all work instruction/processes in Oracle as defined by EPDM assigned task/assignments.
+ Create BOE s, Routings, Work Instructions within budgetary, labor and schedule constraints
+ Process all NC s (MP,FF) and CA (VIR s) within 10 day time limit as process allows with customer deliveries/receipts from fleet.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering/Technology and 4 years experience a production manufacturing or prototype environment required.
+ We may consider additional experience in lieu of degree and we may consider candidates who do not meet all the above requirements for a more junior role or additional experience for a more senior role.
+ Experience using metrics and data to drive actions.
+ Proven track record of solving complicated production issues and/or driving yield improvements.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ 6 years experience working with electro-mechanical assemblies in a transition to production and/or product sustainment role
+ Experience supporting a repairs / depot factory
+ Completed Green belt six sigma training
+ Root Cause Corrective Action problem solving experience and training
+ Experience with New Product Introduction and product transition to manufacturing
+ IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Certifications
+ Current Secret Clearance
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
