If you’re a manufacturing engineer or leader looking to make an impact in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment, this is your opportunity to be at the forefront of industry innovation. **What You Will Do:** **Process Design & Optimization** + Develop and implement flexible assembly line designs that accommodate multiple platforms with high variability. + Lead time studies and work estimations to identify inefficiencies and engineer waste out of the process. + Design and optimize production layouts to enhance space utilization while increasing production efficiency. **Material Flow & Kitting Strategy** + Develop material flow strategies to streamline component movement and increase efficiency. + Implement sequencing and kitting solutions to optimize material presentation at assembly points. + Drive integration of automation and digital solutions for enhanced material flow and logistics. **Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration** + Provide technical leadership in process engineering, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing principles. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and product engineering, to align manufacturing improvements with business objectives. + Guide teams in adopting demand flow technology (DFT) and other advanced manufacturing methodologies. **Project Execution & Continuous Improvement** + Lead multiple concurrent projects focused on driving operational excellence and manufacturing innovation. + Identify and implement industry best practices in lean manufacturing, automation, and advanced material handling. + Act as a key contributor to the long-term strategy for manufacturing process improvements. **Who You Are:** + **Strategic Thinker & Problem Solver:** You have the ability to analyze complex manufacturing challenges and developinnovative, data-driven solutions. + **Proactive & Hands-On Leader:** You take initiative, lead from the front, and thrive in high-impact roles. + **Detail-Oriented & Results-Driven:** You prioritize efficiency, cost reduction, and process improvement in all manufacturing initiatives. + **Collaborative Communicator:** You can influence and align cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing transformation. + **Adaptable & Future-Focused:** You have insight into future manufacturing trends and can apply cutting-edge strategies to enhance efficiency. **What You Will Need:** **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in **Manufacturing Engineering** **, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field** required. + Advanced degree preferred but not required. **Experience:** + 6-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in a major OEM company. + Proven leadership experience in process optimization, layout design, and material flow management. **Skills, Experience & Abilities:** + **Leadership & Project Management:** Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing high-impact process improvement projects. + **Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement:** Strong knowledge of lean principles, DFT, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. + **Manufacturing Systems & Automation:** Familiarity with PLC, automation, machining, welding, assembly techniques, time studies, and torque tooling. + **Data-Driven Decision Making:** Ability to conduct time studies, data analysis, and process simulations to optimize manufacturing workflows. + **Technical Proficiency:** Advanced skills in CAD, simulation software, and manufacturing execution systems (MES). + **Excellent Communication Skills:** Ability to present technical concepts and drive alignment with stakeholders across multiple functions. **Who we are:** HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names.
