Senior Manufacturing Engineer Lead
Position Overview International is seeking a Senior Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our Powertrain Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL! The Senior Lead Manufacturing Engineer will be an integral part of the planning, development, and implementation of assembly equipment and processes to support the launch of a new powertrain platform. Responsibilities + Support Advanced Manufacturing Engineering in assembly layouts, equipment purchase, qualification, and installation + Act and represent International in a global production team + Be the voice of production to product development + Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly sequence, assembly methods and production equipment investments + Standardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other manufacturing facilities + Coordinate pre-series builds and production launch of the new product including establishing goals, training team member, and evaluate and act on results + Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality objectives Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s degree + At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year lead experience OR + Master’s degree + At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year lead experience OR + At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience + At least 1 year lead experience Additional Requirements + Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills + Proficient with electric torque controlled fastening tools + Proficient with press equipment and processes + Proficient with launching new products + Competence with launching new products in an existing production line + Competence with maintaining and follow up project budgets + Competence with developing and maintaining project timelines + Competence with Microsoft Office products + Experience with CAD and 3D modeling tools preferred Siemens NX + Experience with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) + Experience with presenting resolutions to quality issues + Experience with leak testing + Experience with Robotic Assembly systems + Ability, and willingness to lead and guide other professionals or colleagues + Ability, and willingness to learn from others Company Overview At International Motors, LLC* (“International”), we’ve never backed away from forging our own path.
