Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer reports to Technical Leadership and whose focus is performing design and support of moderate to high complexity manufacturing systems and equipment, mentoring to other Engineers/specialists and supporting process improvements. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision. Independent technical decisions on work are covered by precedents; this position seeks direction/guidance on novel or controversial problems. In addition, this position may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals, or organizations. Furthermore, this position will support the Repair & Overhaul Transformation project to increase product velocity/flow, increase margin, and develop standard repair/overhaul processes.What You Will Be Doing

Participates in and promotes process improvements within assigned areas; assists with the development of department and organization proceduresSupports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions. Lends lessons learned and leads training efforts for process understanding.Creates, maintains and develops new process documentation and updates work order documentation. Creates new systems that support this effort.Implements complex engineering changes. Leads and acts as a change agent for complex engineering changes.Mentors Level 1 and 2 Operations Engineers and/or Manufacturing Specialists.Solid design of process and plant layouts and leads ergonomic studies, time studies and implementationSolid understanding of design for complex tools and fixturing’sFamiliarity of modern machining methods and assembly/test of hydro-mechanical hardware

What We Are Looking For US – bachelor’s degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) Technical/Science or international equivalent required.Greater than 4 years professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required.Certificate or degree Special Process preferred.Professional certification i.e. AWS, SME, CWE, CWI, etc. preferred.Occasional travel.Solid Six Sigma knowledge; Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing conceptsSolid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Solid understanding of Root Cause AnalysisSolid understanding of electrical and/or mechanical machine drawings, including industry specificationsManufacturing Engineering - Solid understanding of applicable manufacturing processes including Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming; Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability; Solid understanding of machinery related to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, etc. in order to specify equipment and procure capital; Solid understanding of product drawings, including GD&T and specification flow downIndustrial Engineering - Solid understanding of applicable manufacturing processes; Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability; Solid understanding of machinery related to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, etc. in order to specify equipment and procure capital; Solid understanding of cell and plant layout drawings, including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and other Utility needs/layouts
