Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safetyEnsure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employeesRequires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulationInterprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or servicesStays informed of industry trends that may inform workUses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineeringHas ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholdersAble to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendationsUses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decisionMay lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexityCommunicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topicsMay guide others to consider a different point of view
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or universityMinimum of 5 years of Manufacturing and Operations Managment experience
