Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager (Level L) to support the Skin & Spar Manufacturing Business Unit (MBU) in Auburn, Washington.
This Senior Manager will lead team members and will be responsible for the People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Innovation performance while delivering product to our internal Boeing Programs. In this role, there will be regular interaction with the cross-functional production support team, operations, executive leadership, and regulatory agencies. This position requires strong leadership and people skills, the ability to problem solve, proactively identify issues, and develop and communicate action plans.
Position Responsibilities
Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.Leads, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
5+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.5+ years of experience leading teams and direct reports.5+ years advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.5+ years of experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools in the workplace.Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Bachelor's degree or higher.3+ years of experience coaching, guiding and mentoring teams.3+ years of experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams.3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS).3+ year of experience effectively communicating with employees, peers and senior leadership.Experience in building a culture of safety and quality.Emotional intelligence and resilience.Union Representation Statement

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: 140,600 – 173,400
