Role Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

 

To support the Quality Assurance Manufacturing team with technical expertise and a dedication to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.  

Also, this position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.  ITAR defines as a U.S. Citizen, U.S Permanent Resident (i.e "Green ard Holder"), Policitcal Asylee, or Refugee.

Essential Functions

Lead CIT for IPC standard training (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001)Maintain training schedules for IPC standards.Perform duties as lead DQR for all customersLeads in the creation and completion of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s) and first article inspection paperwork.Lead and coordinate on-site customer source inspections.Updates Quality Procedures and documents.Participate and/or contribute to site Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects.Complete customer Quality surveys.Provides Quality KPIs, metrics and reports as needed to leadership team.Trains production operators on workmanship standards. Measure, review, and provide feedback on production processes.Perform sales order reviews to ensure customer flow down requirements can be met and generate Quality Control Instructions (QCI’s).Demonstrated conceptual thinking and analytical expertise. Negotiation and conflict management skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people is required. Experience communicating with all levels of the organization (Senior Management, team members, supervisors, etc)Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.Experience with associated military and aerospace specifications a plus.Strong documentation skills and attention to detail is required. Commitment to work with a hands-on approach in a team atmosphere is required.Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.Performs additional duties as needed. Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

Experience & Education

Bachelors’ degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related Engineering field is required.Five years of related work experience in manufacturing operations preferred. Experience training others to IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001) requiredIn depth knowledge of working requirements for quality standards (ISO 9000: AS9100) preferredExperience working with a Tier 1/Prime contractor preferred. Experience working in the Aerospace and Defense industry preferred.This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
