Our client, a leader in the heavy-duty truck manufacturing industry, is seeking a **Manufacturing Tooling & Equipment Engineer_Senior** to join their team. As a Senior Tooling & Equipment Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Department, supporting cross-functional teams including process engineers, safety experts, and production leaders. The ideal candidate will have **strong communication skills** , **a proactive mindset** , and **excellent problem-solving abilities** , which will align successfully with the organization.
**Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Tooling & Equipment Engineer**
**Location: Macungie, PA**
**Pay Range: $47 - $50/hr**
**What’s the Job?**
1. Design and procure tools for assembly operations, including fastening tools, lifting systems, and assembly aids.
2. Benchmark existing equipment and adapt proven solutions for local facilities.
3. Implement tooling and equipment with a “zero disturbance” mindset, ensuring safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
4. Participate in industrial projects from planning to execution, providing guidance on budget and timelines for tooling implementation.
5. React to production issues with urgency, developing and executing action plans effectively.
**What’s Needed?**
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in tooling and equipment engineering and design.
3. Proficiency in Catia, Creo, AutoCAD, and knowledge of PDM systems like ENOVIA or Windchill.
4. Practical application of ergonomic standards, GD&T, and awareness of OSHA, ISO, and ANSI guidelines.
5. Strong skills in Excel, PowerBI, and other O365 applications, with experience in creating cost estimates and business cases.
