Job Overview
Within the Mining Strategy and Innovation group, this role will support the Business Units and broader Mining Division by providing actionable, timely, and relevant market research. Reporting to the Director of Market Research, this role will be involved in critical strategic initiatives including Business Development/M&A activity, strategic planning and operational support to the Business Units. It will also be critical in defining and stratifying the market landscape and harmonizing that view across the various Business Units as well as analyzing market trends and delivering actionable recommendations to enhance business performance.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics At least 3 years’ experience in Commodity/Mining Market Analysis along with experience using large data sets and the business and financial acumen to interpret that data for strategic business decision purposes. 15% travel required, s needed for business meetings, customer and mine visits, and conferences & training.Preferred:
• Master 's degree in Finance, Economics or other advanced quantitative degree
• Familiarity with market research tools and software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Tableau, Bloomberg, Factset, Power BI, etc.)
• Experience with Financial and Economic modeling
• Ability to work independently and as a team member who leads without authority and shares credit for success.

• Displays high levels of self-awareness and social awareness when collaborating with others.
