Who will you be joining? 

 

Group Risk (GR) is in charge of managing risks to bolster Allianz's financial strength and to support value-focused company leadership, as such responsible for monitoring and reporting on the Group's overall risk profile. In particular, GR performs analysis of capital requirements under Solvency II which are critical to optimize Allianz profitability and ensure sufficient capital is available throughout Allianz Group.
The Risk Control Function for Allianz SE within Group Risk (GR-RC) runs the independent risk oversight on the legal / operating entity Allianz SE, including Allianz SE Reinsurance. The team GR-RCH under GR-RC is in charge of the holistic risk oversight on all direct activities of Allianz Holding, including Treasury, M&A, Corporate Finance and operational activities. RCH participates in all risk related processes, including preparation of investment decisions, capital calculation and risk monitoring.
 
In this context, the role of RCH is to support the AZ SE CRO / AZ SE Board of Management in business decisions and in their interactions with the Regulator and the Supervisory Board. In this role you will gain an excellent overview of the Group strategy and capital steering decisions, our interactions with the German regulator, key supervisory and governance decisions, and a close working relationship in particular with Allianz SE Reinsurance and Group Treasury and Corporate Finance (GTCF).


 

How can you make an impact?

 

You will:

Lead or support in liquidity risk management and reporting for Allianz SE Maintain and further strengthen "Risk as Business Partner" for GTCF with focus on liquidity and solvency, including ownership of relevant limit setting and monitoring Lead in strategic and planning dialogues for Allianz SE on the risk side Review SAA‘s, business strategy and risk appetite for Allianz SE Support or co-lead to manage Allianz SE internal model governance and validation process, including model analysis and development Support the vetting of M&A and internal transactions for liquidity and solvency as well as non-financial impact for Allianz SE Conduct regular Solvency II projections for Allianz SE

 


What are you made of?

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Broad insurance and market risks background incl. Solvency II knowledge 3 to 5 years of risk management experience in either a risk controlling function or a department with active risk-taking Solid understanding of capital management / capital steering as well as of financial services balance sheets Understanding of reinsurance topics as well as experience in dealing with local regulators, internal / external audit is a plus Strong analytical and interpersonal skills Strong coordination as well as communication capabilities on all levels including senior management Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced university degree in a quantitative discipline such as quantitative risk management, finance, mathematics, economics, statistics, actuarial sciences, or similar Strong command of spoken and written English Fluency in German is a plus
