The Marketing Analyst position actively assists the Asphalt Value Chain in achieving goals and strategies with a focus on analysis, reporting, presentations and projects. The individual will have the opportunity to interact with both Findlay and field personnel as well as internal customers (Accounting, IT, L&S Terminals and Credit). The position requires strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills. The position will include annual, monthly and weekly data management as well as various projects throughout the year and is an excellent opportunity for self-starters that thrive in dynamic, analytical environments. A strong understating of Excel is required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the primary transportation rates, working closely with the asphalt supply and management teams.  Conducts periodic reviews of the transportation rates, along with recommendations to management.  Supports budget and other internal processes as needed.As part of the asphalt coordinating team, conduct routine updates to support the modernized asphalt suite.  This consists of terminaling, transportation, raw material and more routine pricing updates to support the bidding tool.  Must understand the asphalt pricing policy, while following the data governance guidelines for frequency and approval. Manages the quarterly and monthly asphalt terminals meeting with all necessary stakeholders. Assists management and business partners in the ongoing development and data analysis to measure profitability of various classes of trade and markets. Serves as a contact for Business Development and IT project-related work.Stays informed of industry trends, regulations, economic conditions, and commercial and consumer needs to make educated recommendations on marketing strategies and business opportunities.Supports strategies to enhance commercial value. Maintains positive customer relationships and promptly addresses customer concerns.Identifies and implements business process improvement ideas that create internal process efficiencies and/or reduce transactional or administrative costs for customers.Assists with the planning and execution of the asphalt region meetings as needed, consisting of conference and hotel contracts, restaurants and travel accommodations.

Minimum Requirements

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or other related discipline required or five (5) years of experience in lieu.Relevant Experience Level: Five (5) or more years of experience in Analytics, Pricing, Fuel/Asphalt Marketing Sales, Revenue and Profitability Management, or other related experience required.

Travel Requirements – less than 10%
