Homes.com is growing quickly and we’re looking for a powerhouse Marketing and Communications Team, based in Richmond, to accelerate our growth and build the brand. Together with a group of like-minded creative individuals, our Marketing Team will generate brand awareness and grow our client base through national multi-million-dollar marketing campaigns across TV, streaming, digital channels, social direct mail, email, mobile, print and events.

Role Description:
We’re currently seeking a full-time Senior Marketing Copywriter/Content Specialist with a strong advertising background to join our dynamic and fast-paced marketing team. If you're passionate about creating concepts, writing headlines with punch and personality, developing content, and driving results through your writing, we want you to join us in elevating the Homes.com brand. Crafting compelling narratives is essential for bringing our story to life, and we’re seeking a copywriter who can help us build and articulate our brand voice and point of view.
As a Senior Marketing Copywriter/Content Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to flex your writing muscles and bring your ideas to life across various mediums. From blogs and email campaigns to video scripts, advertisements, social media posts, sales decks, website landing pages, and more, you’ll help us tell our brand’s story in new and exciting ways. Together with a team of marketers, designers, and senior executives, you’ll execute written solutions that reflect our goals and vision. You should be strategic, creative, and passionate about connecting our brand voice to our target audiences in a compelling and insightful manner. The opportunity in this role is to develop, drive, and maintain the brand voice across all mediums uniquely, powerfully, and insightfully, with a creative and strategic focus.
This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers the following hybrid schedule options:
4 days onsite / 1 day remoteRESPONSIBILITIES
Write engaging headlines, short-form, and long-form copy that meets the target audience's needs.Develop and maintain brand voice for all written materials.Create compelling email campaigns, advertisements, and website copy.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies and campaigns.Stay up to date with the latest writing and marketing trends and incorporate them into your work.Write white papers and other thought-leadership pieces that educate and persuade the target audience.Craft blog posts that are informative, thought-provoking, and relevant to our target audience.Utilize data and analytics to measure the success of your writing and make improvements as necessary.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college.7+ years of experience in copywriting and content creation.A track record of commitment to prior employers.Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to write in various styles and tones.Ability to write for different audiences and mediums, including print, digital, and social media.Strong understanding of branding and brand voice.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.Results-driven with a proven track record of increasing sales through effective copywriting.Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.Comfortable following creative direction and implementing changes, while producing high-quality designs and meeting tight deadlines.Excellent communication skills: can clearly articulate ideas, concepts, and suggestions.Ability to conceptualize and craft campaigns and promotional messages.Ability to interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Detail-oriented and organized.Impeccable time-management skills.Wired for writing, with a natural talent and passion for crafting compelling copy and content.Positive attitude and a professional approach to all tasks and interactions.Enthusiastic about building and enhancing the Homes.com brand.PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Experience creating content for digital marketing and sales materials, including websites, email campaigns, social media posts, and presentation decks.A mix of agency and in-house experience as a copywriter or similar role.Knowledge of marketing and branding strategies.Ability to work with graphic design and video editing tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite).Experience with SEO optimization and analytics.Knowledge of content management systems and HTML.This position requires presenting writing samples of past projects as part of your application.
