Senior Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific, Vice President

The Senior Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific role is based in Japan and plays a critical role in driving State Street’s growth and market leadership in Japan. This role will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing programs specifically targeting institutional investors, including asset managers and asset owners. The successful candidate will be an experienced marketer and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Japanese market and investment landscape. Aside from leading the program of activity in Japan, the role will be actively involved in supporting the broader regional marketing program across other key locations including Australia, Singapore and Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong. The role will partner closely with the sales and commercial coverage leads in these locations to develop and implement a comprehensive regional marketing program. This will involve creating multi-channel campaigns aimed at increasing brand visibility, engaging target audiences, driving demand for State Street’s set of solutions, and capturing and nurturing leads.
Working in partnership with marketing campaign leads globally, the role will also adapt and localize global marketing programs, aligning them with regional business priorities to enhance their relevance and ensure they resonate with target audiences to deliver return on investment.

Planning and Execution
Regional and Global Campaign Adaptation
Collaborate with the broader APAC marketing team to support regional initiatives and campaigns, particularly in areas relevant to the Japanese market.Work closely with global campaign leads to adapt and localize commercial campaigns for the Asia Pacific region.Align regional marketing programs with local market nuances and business priorities to maximise their effectiveness.Measure and analyse campaign performance to identify areas for improvement and to help inform campaign approach.Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in sales, relationship management, commercial coverage. Keep these stakeholders informed of marketing activities and communicate key results on a monthly basis and address any questions and concerns in a timely manner.Skills/ Knowledge Requirements
Business level fluency in English and Japanese is vital along with strong writing skills.Experience in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.Able to collaborate with local business and product experts to develop content and insights that resonate with State Street’s existing and prospective clients. Then to work with internal channels and external vendors to create suitable content aligned to these themes.Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interface with colleagues from all disciplines, backgrounds, and cultures.Strong project and time management skills.Must be a highly motivated and energetic self-starter who is able to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven hybrid work environment—both independently and as a dedicated team member.Able to work both face to face with colleagues and key stakeholders, as well as operating remotely, as part of a hybrid work environment.Experience operating in a complex, global organization with matrix reporting lines and multiple stakeholders.State Street's Speak Up Line
