Senior Marketing Manager, Performance Marketing Programs
Overview: 

Manages and leads a Marketing function for the enterprise (i.e., a more narrow center of excellence).  Has deep subject matter expertise pertaining to area of responsibility with narrow purview / scope. Responsible for developing team capabilities that serve the evolving marketing needs of the enterprise. 

Functional area has narrow purview or scope.  Supervises a team of managers or professionals. Sphere of influence is more within Marketing and with key partners than across the enterprise but leader will influence across enterprise at select times.

Primary Responsibilities:Understands needs mission, vision and strategic direction of the enterprise and supports departmental alignment.Develops and manages strong relationships across the division and with key partners across the enterprise at select times.Able to influence, create alignment, and inspire action within department and among peers.  May influence and create alignment across the enterprise in more narrow and select situations.Collaboratively defines department vision, architecture, and framework for delivering required narrow functional area to the enterprise and applies industry best practices.Works across Marketing to resource team to deliver enterprise outcomes.Communicates clearly with department members as well as external stakeholders to create alignment. Influence, and inspire within department on more narrow scope.Supports the definition, development, and implementation of procedures, practices, and routines within own department and ensures they are understood and adhered to.May represent M&T in external events for research and networking activities that benefit the company.Coaches and develops team members on a regular basis.  Oversees functional area's prioritization of work and delivery of outcomes.Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.

Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities:

Leads a team of individual contributors or Managers.

Education and Experience Required:Bachelor's Degree9  years of Marketing experience or relevant experience(Or in lieu of a degree, a combination of 13 years of higher education and relevant experience)3 years of team leadership experienceExperience in leading thru complex problemsHas demonstrated strong working relationships with internal and external partners at all levels of the organizationProven decision-making ability to inform, educate and influence management and team members. Education and Experience Preferred:MBA or other Master's Degree

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $130,840.95 - $218,068.25 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
