Senior Marketing Manager

**Overview**
The Senior Marketing Manager position is immersed in the latest marketing trends, particularly in the digital landscape, hyper-focused on organization and has a passion for building/growing brands and books.
This position works with our general market Harper Celebrate gift books, in addition to the 45 million-plus selling _Jesus Calling_ devotional which has impacted lives for years through its extensive line of devotionals. This position will focus heavily on supporting marketing strategies around the _Jesus Calling_ brand, including social media, podcast, television show, app, quarterly magazine, and more.
Harper Celebrate is the gift book imprint of HarperCollins Focus specializing in formats such as daily readers, lifestyle books, cookbooks, photographic/illustrated non-fiction, along with seasonal and occasion-driven titles. Celebrate is home to a growing list of authors such as Reba McEntire, Kristin Chenoweth, Amy Bruni, Scott Seiss, and proprietary/licensed titles like _Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree_ and _The Horrors of Dating_ adult coloring book.
Our ideal candidate is a marketing innovator, self-starter, excellent communicator who inspires trust and confidence in our authors, as well as internal and external stakeholders, and a seasoned marketing leader capable of growing author brands and handling multiple projects all at different stages in the marketing cycle.
**This is a hybrid role based out of our Nashville office.**
**Responsibilities**
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for the development and/or execution of marketing strategies for approximately 10 frontlist titles each year, as well as backlist initiatives.These comprehensive campaigns for assigned titles include marketing positioning, consumer messaging, media planning and buying, social media strategy, budgeting, and ROI analysis for each campaign.
+ Ownership of campaigns to include the responsibility of creating agendas, timelines, recaps, preliminary internal conversations prior to author meetings, etc. and communicating these project-based updates to key stakeholders.
+ Budget management for assigned titles including expense tracking, internal projections, etc.
+ Asset design creation to include but not limited to social media graphics, product images, and podcast/video scripts.
+ Management of invoice-processing/coding for imprint.
+ Partners with authors, agents, editors, vendors, retail sales, and additional team members to craft strategies to achieve sales and revenue objectives.
+ Explore marketing partnership ideas within and beyond the publishing industry.
+ Create social media strategy and execution for _Jesus Calling_ brand, including, but not limited to, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. These strategies need to address platform growth and direct product sales with constant attention to appropriate KPIs.
+ Communication of ROI to be frequently reported to leadership in a transparent and detailed manner in order to make adjustments as necessary.
+ Stay on top of cutting-edge trends and opportunities in the digital marketing space and then proactively and creatively applying them to imprint marketing plans.
+ Responsible for _Jesus Calling_ content strategy which includes timely posting of social media content, blogs, SMS, podcasts, newsletters, advertising promotions, etc.
+ Focus on implementing innovative ways to keep social media audience engaged through social media community (i.e. comments, content performance, competitive benchmarking, etc.). This includes collaborating with outside vendors in the areas they support.
+ Manage digital advertising, including social media ads, search engine advertising, etc. This includes developing highly-targeted audiences and relevant messaging with proven ROI.
+ Creation of marketing presentations for internal and external audiences (sales presentations, monthly internal newsletters, author/agent meetings, etc.)
+ Assists SMD and VP in pulling of ad hoc sales reports as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Work Experience:**
+ 5+ years of relevant marketing experience with an emphasis on digital marketing and brand management
+ Experience working in a multi-tasking deadline-driven environment
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising, or related field
**Industry Knowledge:**
+ Knowledge of the Christian market is strongly preferred
+ Proven track record of targeting consumer segments through social media platforms resulting in sales, lead generation, etc.
+ Knowledge of presentation software, such as PowerPoint, Canva, KeyNote, etc., preferred
**Skills:**
+ Extreme attention to detail.
+ Efficient organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities. Must be able to work independently under tight deadlines and possess the skills to set priorities and problem solve.
+ Managing time independently to ensure assigned tasks are completed and progress is communicated to team members.
+ Clear and concise communication with management and external partners. Ability to proactively raise problems to management while also coming with possible solutions and ideas.
+ A love of discovering new marketing trends.
+ Deep knowledge of social media strategies and tools/applications within that space.
+ Knowledge of Meta Ad Manager, Google/YouTube ads, TikTok, etc.
+ Experience with WordPress.
+ Working knowledge of SEO best practices.
+ Strong experience in Microsoft Office.
+ Preferred working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, etc.
+ Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
