The position is responsible for leading the marketing team, developing and executing brand strategies, and ensuring effective collaboration with partners to drive the competitiveness of company products in the market. This role also involves setting the strategic direction for the CNS product portfolio and providing market analysis and marketing support for Business Development initiatives. The position plays a crucial role in supporting the company’s global growth objectives.
How you’ll spend your dayBrand Strategy Execution and Management
Strategy Execution and Monitoring: Oversee the execution of brand strategies and tactics, ensuring alignment with desired outcomes. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to achieve strategic goals.
Promotional Materials and Budget Management: Ensure that marketing programs and materials are aligned with portfolio strategies. Manage budget with effective allocation across brands, optimizing efficiency and ensuring spending remains within target.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal departments and within the marketing team to drive cohesive brand initiatives.
Partner Collaboration
Brand Plan Development and Execution: Lead the annual development of Brand Plans for the product, including market assumptions, competitive analysis, and product insights. Develop brand strategies based on these plans and ensure business partners implement the strategies as aligned.
Brand Positioning and Strategy Alignment: Ensure that the positioning of Austedo aligns with global and IM (International Markets) brand positioning. Follow up on AOP strategies of BD partners to maintain consistency with brand objectives.
CNS Portfolio Strategy Development
Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement portfolio and brand strategies for the CNS product line, setting clear directions for brand growth and market penetration.
Market Insights and Relationship Management: Monitor market trends and integrate insights into competitive portfolio strategies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and key accounts.
Global Brand Team Representation: Represent China in the IM brand team, ensuring alignment between global strategies and local market needs.
Business Development Support
Market Analysis and Brand Positioning: Provide market analysis, brand positioning insights, and input on pricing and market access strategies to support BD initiatives.
Commercial Due Diligence: Assess the commercial capabilities of potential partners, provide input on contract terms, and develop risk mitigation plans to ensure successful partnerships.
Leading Team
Team Performance and Culture: Ensure high performance, engagement, and integrity within the marketing team. Foster a positive team culture that promotes collaboration and accountability.
Strategic Direction and Team Development: Provide clear strategic direction for the team, embodying the company’s core values and leading by example. Develop team capabilities through training and mentorship.
Collaboration and Innovation: Encourage information sharing and cooperation among team members. Inspire innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Your experience and qualificationsMinimum 8 years China Pharmaceutical industry experience
Degree in a science and/or business-related discipline
Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical skills
Commercial business experience in marketing, portfolio management or business development
Good knowledge of pharma sector trends, customer landscape and competitor trends and actions
Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English
Strong personal leadership and ability to lead cross functionally
Proven people management skill with ability to develop team and employees
Good communication and collaboration skills
High personal integrity
