Senior Marketing Manager – Earned Media and Purpose

The Senior Marketing Manager of Earned Media and Purpose for TJ Maxx will be responsible for leading channel marketing strategies, with the intention of driving short- and long-term growth for the brand. The Senior Marketing Manager will have a strong understanding of the marketing landscape, channel best practices, and brand priorities, and can easily translate insights and data into integrated marketing strategies and programs. They will help establish and lead clear and compelling plans for their respective channels which can range from retail experience to social media.

 

Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing for TJ Maxx, this role will lead marketing programs designed to earn media and consumer attention, drive consideration of the TJ Maxx brand and fuel brand love. Working with internal and agency partners, the Senior Manager in this role directs the development of earned media (public relations) strategies and programs; purpose strategy and initiatives; strategic partnerships (celeb, influencer and nonprofit) and associate engagement. The outcome of this scope of work is a meaningful and enduring connection with TJ Maxx among consumers, media partners and associates.

 

Who We Are Looking For: You.  

 

Work with the Assistant Vice President of Marketing for TJ Maxx, internal and agency partners, to develop an annual strategy/plan for TJ Maxx earned media and purpose programmingDrive execution of earned media strategy and programming – including media events with editors and influencers; talent partnerships; multi-channel campaigns and serving as a brand spokesperson on select occasionsDrive execution of purpose strategy and initiatives, including media and non-profit partnerships like Dress for Success and Save the Children and corresponding multi-channel campaigns that include associate engagement opportunitiesOversee point-of-sale cause marketing campaigns, working closely with Store Operations, agency and non-profit partnersPartner with TJX Consumer Insights team to evaluate impact of programming and optimize to drive enhanced resultsEnsure marketing spend is on budget and that funds are allocated to generate high-impact results with maximum efficiencyLead a team of high performing associates - encouraging a culture in which each associate feels welcomed, valued and engaged.

 

Qualifications

 

10-15 years of Marketing experience for a communications agency or BTC business, preferably in retail or fashion/home fashionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills resulting in effective communication and collaborationInterest in fashion/home trends, pop culture, media news and digitally savvySkilled user of Microsoft Office programs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Social MediaAbility to build relationships with all levels within an organizationDeep listening and inquiryCollaborative, participatory decision-makerInnovative, calculated risk-taker who learns from mistakes

This position is hybrid requiring 2 days per week in the office in Framingham, MA and is not open to remote work.

 

This position has a starting salary range of $111,300 to $144,800 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
