Senior Materials Evaluation Coordinator

We are leaders in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine and develop, produce and market innovative medicines, solutions and services in more than 110 countries and regions. **Shift: M-F 8am - 4:30pm** **Hiring Manager: Ike Harrell** The Senior Materials Evaluation (ME) Coordinator position includes all duties routinely completed at the QC ME Associate Coordinator level as well as additional duties not routinely performed by all QCME Associate Coordinators. The additional duties may include performing review of data. ordering supplies for the laboratory or serving as a lab representative for various projects, serving in the capacity as a primary trainer, carring out the complete set-up of Final Container Reserve sample inspection processes. The Sr Coordinator will be someone who is looked upon as a leader in the group. The Sr Coordinator duties will consist of approximately 80% direct evaluation or testing related duties and approximately 20% non-direct duties (data review, retain/reserve sample processing, training, etc.). Primary Responsibilities: + Perform all activites typically completed at the Associate Coordinator level (direct material evaluation inspection/material receiving). + Determine the acceptability of materials (i.e. labels, chemicals, raw material components, etc.) that can at times require recognition of problems or potential use issues not always addressed by specifications or other written requirements. + Serve as a materials evaluation SME (subject matter expert) for all raw materials and FC retains. Duties may included evaluating material evaluation process, review of audit documentation, SAP audit entries, training new employees, making sure supplies get ordered and revising SOPs. + Perform investigations with management oversite. Support product technical complaint investigations (FC reserve samples). + And other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** + Demonstrate significant knowledge and competency related to a series of tests or testing area. Knowledge should be equivalent to a SME for a particulate area. + Must be able to work independantly with minimal oversight + Computer skills are required. + Must be able to read and understand technical drawings. + Effective communication skills, including proper grammar, are essential in order to report (both in writing and verbally) data and product impact. + Must keep neat, accurate, and complete records of material evaluations and release activities performed. + Exhibit a high level of performance. + Incumbent must have prior inspection experience (i.e. manufacturing components, packaged goods, etc.) **Education:** Requires minimum of an Associates degree with an emphasis in sciences or mathematics or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable **Experience:** Direct experience as an Associate Coordinator is required (minimum of 2 years) . Incumbent must have prior QC inspection experience (i.e. manufacturing components, various raw materials, etc.) Work is performed in an office and a laboratory/manufacturing environment or warehouse. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms. Exposure to occasional extreme cold below 32* in production areas. Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment. Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves. Work is performed sitting or standing for 2-4 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Ability to make precise coordinated movements, of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 35lbs. Occasionally walks, bends and twists neck and waist, may reach above or below shoulder height. Frequent foot movements. Color perception/discrimination and near vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Performs tasks by following a set of written or oral instructions/procedures.
