Join us and we can make a difference together. **About this role** **Commercial HVAC Operations – The chiller production line (air-cooled)** is searching for a **Senior** **Materials Planner.** The **Senior Materials Planner** takes responsibility for the supply and demand planning process; makes moderate improvements to systems and processes to enhance performance; and works with suppliers and internal teams to meet customer requirements and KPIs. The **Senior Materials Planner** will work **onsite** at our **Charlotte** facility. This position is a great opportunity for a veteran to utilize previous materials planning skills. Plus, we’ll support your growth with paid-for external training programs and courses. **Key Responsibilities** + Develop strategies for materials planning and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) + Improve standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP + Optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery + Indicators development that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand + Identify appropriate demand streams and establish data relationship linkages + Collaborate with product development leaders, sales and marketing teams to develop demand forecasts + Accountable for planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations + Work with the manufacturing team and develop monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters + Identify and develop new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability + Track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement + Responsible for the implementation of processes and plans to improve supply capabilities + Establish clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP **Basic Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED + 5+ years of material planning or buying experience **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree + Leadership and cross-functional experience + Analytical skills + Verbal and written English communication skills + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills + Demonstrated project management skills + SAP + Communicate and interact with international vendors + Work cohesively with various departments and outside vendors RSRCAR \#LI-onsite **Carrier is An Equal** **Opportunity/Affirmative** **Action Employer.
