We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Construction Administration Lead to join our Pacific Northwest multi-disciplinary team, anchored in Seattle or Portland. The role will form an integral part of our regional construction administration team and will help to deliver some of the most significant projects in the area. The successful candidate will ensure: quality in our designs, a high level of multi-disciplinary coordination; and key stakeholder awareness. This role is focused on supporting a major healthcare project and will require regular in-person attendance at a project colocation office in the Portland area.
The Opportunity
Lead Construction Administration project work – including new / existing construction and pre-design support. This role is initially focused on a major healthcare project in the Portland area but in the long term will involve projects across science, healthcare, higher education, transportation and commercial sectors. The initial project focus of this role will also involve supporting the design team for this healthcare project, in order to be fully immersed with the project and project team. Lead the development of client and stake holder relationships with a focus on building and maintaining quality relationships that lead to repeat business. Support the CA process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint. Facilitate timely responses to RFI’s, submittals and inspection reports and ensure that response are coordinated across trade partners. Perform in-house design reviews and make recommendations for design improvements. Engage with our BIM process and pro-actively identify opportunities for coordination and constructability in order to support a high quality output. Build and mentor a diverse construction administration team Provide measurement and verification services and support our commissioning team as necessary. Contribute to and help develop regional standards for construction administration best practices, such as: digital platforms, test sheets and forms, specifications and site practices, and field reports. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar is preferred. Project sector experience in hospital projects, or in large-scale design assist or design-build projects Minimum of 8 years of experience working with contractors, either in coordinating MEP systems directly for a contractor or in representing engineering designs for a consulting firm. Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels and commercial and financial awareness The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environmentPreferred Skills
Professional Engineering License in US Project sector experience also in higher education, science, industry, government, or transportation. LEED Accreditation or WELL Certification

Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Seattle is $114,000 to $147,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Seattle will differ.
