Baseline Responsibilities:

Drive the design and development of mechanical systems and components to meet customer requirements.Use CAD software to create detailed drawings and specifications.Conduct feasibility studies, trade studies, and prototyping activities.Analyze and evaluate designs for strength, durability, cost, and performance.Lead cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality control, and suppliers.Support production, testing, and validation of prototypes and final products.Continuously improve design processes and methodologies.Stay current with industry standards and regulations.Mentor and train junior engineers.Represent the company in customer and industry meetings.Provide technical leadership and direction to the design engineering team.

Technical Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.9 or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering.Deep knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical design.Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or ProE.Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to lead cross-functional teams.Ability to manage technical aspects of the project.Ability to provide technical leadership and direction to the design engineering team.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Good organizational and time management skills.
