Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer, we'll count on you to:

Developing hydro mechanical project solutions for both modernization and new projects.Engineering consulting, including condition assessments, studies, mechanical engineering and detailed design, calculations, and specification development.Engineering for equipment procurement, development of technical specifications, reviewing fabrication and installation activities for conformance to engineering design and specifications.Researching and analyzing data such as customer concepts and equipment layouts to determine feasibility of design or application.Evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.Provide field support during construction.Provide support in developing proposals.Other tasks as required to support project goals and HDR business activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 10 years experience in the power industry with preferred experience across large valves, turbines and piping systemsPEStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCADThe ability to handle multiple diverse assignments successfully in a consulting firm environment.The ability to perform as a key member of an interdisciplinary project team.Strong written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to mentor EITs and younger staff on the teamAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $113,421 - $162,030 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
