Job DescriptionResponsibilities

Design & document new part designs and changes to existing parts according to internal and external requirements

Work with in-house clinical application experts to define & optimize transducer designs

Work with process engineers to design & document manufacturing production fixtures

Create, edit and approve engineering changes, work instructions, and other documentation as required

Support transducer / part / process qualifications and V&V activities

Provide both informal and formal communications to the management team on project status

Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications / Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 or more years of experience

Expert skill with 3D CAD software, preferably Solidworks (and/or Creo)

Working knowledge of: Design for manufacturability of common production processes e.g. CNC machining, injection molding, 3D Printing; Engineering material properties & FEA software; Dimensioning & Tolerancing, including GD&T & tolerance stacks; Measuring equipment e.g. CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.; PLM & PDM systems such as Agile, Solidworks ePDM, etc.; Microsoft Office software; Statistical approaches to analyzing data

Desired Characteristics

Experience in a FDA, ISO13485, or other highly regulated environment preferred

Ability to work in an international and cross-functional team environment

Energy and enthusiasm for each day’s effort

Ability to generate written communication that is clear and concise and lead a discussion among colleagues as well as provide formal presentations to management
