This Senior Mechanical Engineer will be on a dynamic team, programing undersea systems engineering at our Silva, RI location. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact toward our military defense and safety of our sailors. **This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret clearance and customer approval.** You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems. **In this role, you will:** + You will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team in the drafting, editing, review, and verification of design plans and technical manuals + Overall, you will be part of an Engineering team consisting of mechanical and electrical engineers that works closely with the customer in delivering quality products and services to the fleet + Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) reviews on technical manuals, drawings, and other deliverables before sending to the customer + Edit new and revised relevant technical documentation + Assist the customer with coordinating meetings, discussions, and action items as needed + Maintain workload and respond to tasking within the schedule and technical requirements identified + Assist, guide, and mentor junior Engineers, as needed + Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned **Qualifications** **To be successful in this role, you will have:** + A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience. Military experience may be considered in lieu of degree + **Must have a DoD Secret security clearance** + Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar, is required + Experience performing modelling and simulation of mechanic systems + Effective organization level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint + Must be able to travel up to 10%. **Company Overview** Serco Inc.
