We are assisting a leading engineering contractor specialising in delivering high-quality services for a variety of industries in their search for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer. As Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems in various projects ensuring that all mechanical designs & installations meet industry standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within overall project designs.
Preparation and coordination of drawings covering all mechanical installations ensuring alignment to project specifications & standard.
Manage black utility systems across all project stages, from design and construction to commissioning and successful handover to the client.
Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of mechanical systems.
Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical reports/submittals, and project updates.
Monitor project budgets and costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or performance.
Ensure all mechanical engineering activities comply with relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards.
Participate in meetings as needed and contribute to the best of your knowledge.
Receipt verification of equipment and materials arriving on site.
Prepare detailed technical documentation ensuring that it is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
6+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering role with mechanical contractors.
Small to medium mechanical project experience within Pharmaceutical, Industrial, and Data Centre contracts are desirable.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, low-temperature hot water, water treatment systems, and black utility systems.
Proficient in design review, including verification of duct and pipe sizing and pressure drop calculations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Proficient in Mechanical Engineering software & tools.
Effective communication & interpersonal skills.
