**Immediate Mechanical Engineering Opportunity** ** For Immediate consideration please apply to this posting and email your resume to habels@actalentservices.com** Description: Senior Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of the project development/execution team and responsible for hands on engineering expertise in development of a variety of electromechanical assemblies for government customers. Will oversee a project and project schedule while working hands-on together with the R&D team on prototype builds, testing, and analysis. - Design mechanical parts and assemblies with around 100-500 parts in SolidWorks and work closely with electrical and chemical engineers - Mil-Std requirements in design process - Create 2D drawings in SolidWorks, design for manufacturing; Maintain organized SolidWorks part and assembly files, experience with PDM preferred - Serve as project manager for complete projects - Maintain an up-to-date BOM for assemblies - Lead prototype builds and work hands-on with the team - Work directly with vendors and with purchasing department to procure prototype components Skills: solidworks, mechanical engineering, new product development, gd&t, mechanical design, design, cad, sheet metal, project management, 3d modeling, bom, mechanical, aerospace, aerospace engineering, aerospace design, defense aerospace, mil standards, as9100, iso 9001, project engineering, r&d engineering, dod Top Skills Details: solidworks,mechanical engineering,new product development Additional Skills & Qualifications: MUST HAVE expertise and proficiency with Solidworks to design for manufacturing (preferably electromechanical assemblies - gears, pumps, motion systems, metallic components, 100-500 parts) MUST HAVE 7+ years of Mechanical Design engineering experience (BS Degree required) - for manufacturing - strongly preferred within aerospace and defense industry MUST HAVE experience with R&D, new product introduction, new product development, concept development MUST be able to Project manage - from design, through prototype build, test, and production Experience Level: Expert Level About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
