We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to take on operational responsibility for the day-to-day development of new designs and changes to existing products. The role requires experience and the ability to perform analysis and draw conclusions. You will focus on your technical area with limited interfaces to other technical areas.
ResponsibilitiesDesign cooling system components and sub-components for PWTI - ICE powertrain installation (internal combustion engines) as needed.Design exhaust system components and sub-components for PWTI - ICE powertrain installation (internal combustion engines) as needed.Ensure new designs fulfill business targets, requirements, and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets.Front-load work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late-stage releases.Release components as applicable to resolve maintenance issues or secure project deliveries.Assist in developing modular systems and components to optimize part diversity.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical engineering and mechanical design.Experience with cooling systems and powertrain installation.Experience with exhaust systems.Creo design experience.Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsCapacity to perform analysis and draw conclusions.Ability to focus on technical areas with minimal interfaces to other areas.Strong problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Work Environment
The work environment involves working with advanced design software and tools, primarily focusing on mechanical design and powertrain systems. You will work in a structured setting with defined procedures, focusing on delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions. The role may require occasional adjustments to work hours to meet project deadlines.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00
