Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Heat Transfer team. The main focus of this position will be for the candidate to learn and execute Iron Ore Pellet Plant system projects. You will be responsible for design, both basic and detail, along with supporting our Field Service Engineers during the commissioning phase of projects. Aspects of this position entail creating technical specifications for both customer and internal needs, creating/reviewing BOM’s, helping support sales efforts, and leading projects as the main technical contact . In this position, you will report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager of Heat Transfer.
This position is mainly located in York, PA, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This position may involve up to 30% of travel internationally for up to 3 weeks at a time.

What you’ll do
Design & Fabrication: Prepare mechanical drawings for fabrication, construction, and installation of equipment. Engineering Quality: Apply mechanical engineering principles and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications. Creative Solutions: Develop design ideas and solutions for mechanical equipment, performing timely engineering calculations and reviewing drawings for accuracy. Customer Engagement: Visit customer offices and plants to ensure total accuracy of installed equipment, or to troubleshoot problems. Problem Solver: Investigate mechanical issues and propose corrective actions or repair procedures. Process Improvement: Ofer input to facilitate process improvement and enhance efficiency. Team Collaboration: Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, showing commitment to quality, ethics, and safety.
Who you are
BS in Mechanical Engineering. 7+ years of experience in engineering mining, mineral processing, or similar heavy equipment. Great experience with 2D and 3D design, especially with Autodesk products. As a collaborative leader, you navigate different stakeholders with ease, collaborating across diverse cultures and environments. Have a proven record for implementing design changes.
