Senior Mechanical Engineer
**Mission of the position:** Role is responsible for leading R&D initiatives to develop and expand Mott’s product portfolio, particularly in the High Purity (semiconductor) market. The position will lead teams of scientists/engineers/ technicians within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Mott is poised for **significant expansion over the next 5 years.** **Key Responsibilities** 1. Deliver custom filtration, flow control and purification products to Mott’s key Semiconductor Customers. 2. Identify & address technical risks in new product development initiatives in both design and manufacturing. 3. Develop new capabilities and data to support commercial efforts to win new opportunities 4. Collaborate/mentor in a strong team environment. **Major Challenges** 1. Consistently deliver results in a rapid-paced, high-growth environment. 2. Consistently improve speed and quality while delivering innovative solutions. 3. Maintain high standards for quality and engineering fundamentals in fast-innovation environment. 4. Lead cross-functional teams to meet project time and budget goals when there are competing priorities 5. Adapt rapidly to customer-driven changes. **Expected Performance Outcomes** 1. Customer: Partner with Commercial Team and Customer to guide Customer to proposed solutions. Follow up with detailed Scope of Work to execute on projects. 2. Product launch: Launch three to five new products per year with ramped potential of $20M+ in sales. 3. Speed: Deliver initial proof-of-concept samples to customers within 3 months and maintain project timelines and Customer commitments. 4. Innovation: At least 3 new patent disclosures/year 5. Data: Execute experiments internally and externally to support 5 to 10 data packages/white papers per year for marketing collateral and datasheets. 6. Develop a design method for all new products to enable manufacturing scale-up and product expansion. 7. Provide subject-matter expertise to the organization in one or more areas of mechanical engineering. **Required Experience** 1. New product development in a fast-paced environment. 2. Experience working with customers and commercial teams. 3. Experience working in the Semiconductor industry 4. Track-record of achievement in multiple technical areas. 5. Record of performance leading teams. 6. Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas of mechanical engineering. **Technical Knowledge/Skills** 7. M.S./Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering 8.
